I have been working with colleagues at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences
continuously since June 1990.
I have the privilege to have met BAS scientists of the highest
international calibre.
I have seen local boys and girls transforming into competent scientists and
acquiring international recognition.
I have seen the struggle for survival in the years which followed 1989.
I truly believe that their scientific output is not only valuable for the
international community,
but it is also indispensable for the progress and prosperity of Your
country.
