The school is aimed to contribute to the interdisciplinary graduate training, to the internationalization of physics education of master and PhD students, and of talented young scientists by offering advanced courses to be held in English. These courses include specialized topics covering latest developments and state of research in conformal and topological quantum field theory, string theory and related mathematical problems.
The school will be held at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Sofia, 5 James Bourchier blvd., 1164 Sofia (Lozenetz campus). The arrival day is September 24, 2006 and the departure day is September 30, 2006.

The school is open to all physics graduate and PhD students, and young researchers who may be interested in the topics (and of course senior scientists as well). We expect the majority of the participants to be from the region and Europe. The organizers will try to cover the expenses of students from the Balkan Network countries. A limited number of grants for other participants could also be possible. Participants who need financial support should register as early as possible.
Registration is now possible. To register you should fill in the registration form and e-mail it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Participants applying for financial support should send the filled in registration form by e-mail to email@example.com as well as to firstname.lastname@example.org with subject sofia06.
A recommendation from the supervisor is welcome.
The deadline for registration is July 31, 2006.
If you apply for financial support you should register before 30.06.2006.
