Conference Site:
The Workshop will take place at the International House of Scientists "Frederic Joliot-Curie" (IHS) on the Black Sea coast near Varna. Varna is
Bulgaria's third largest city and main naval port.
The International House of Scientists is situated in the big international
sea-side resort "St. Constantine and Elena" (formerly called
"Druzhba") to the North-East of Varna. For a detailed map of the neighbourhood of the IHS click here.
On this map IHS is No 5, Grand Hotel "Varna" is No 2, Hotel "Lebed" is No 3, Hotel "Roubin" is next to Lebed (closer to the sea, on a line with GH Varna and Lebed).
Travel information:
The most convenient way to travel from abroad is by plane
to Varna airport. In the summer there are many direct flights to
Varna from many European cities and daily regular flights from Sofia
(Bulgaria's capital). The latter is connected with Europe's major
cities by daily regular flights. Travel by train is to Varna railway station.
The airport (railway station) is 20 km (10 km) from the
Conference site with direct bus connections. For local travel information - see FAQs button above.
