It is based on various research papers published in the period 1976-2001, but due to technical reasons it has been defended much later, in 2007, at the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
This "Doctor of Sciences" thesis supersedes my Ph.D. thesis defended in 1978 under the supervision of Prof. Ludwig Faddeev at the Physics Department of the St. Petersburg State University and the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Institute of Mathematics of Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg, Russia.
